Good afternoon members
We are so happy to welcome two new families as members of ZBRRA.
Sid Sidersky and family and Marc van Olst and family.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you need any assistance in any way.
We have been informed that the link up to the Tugela pipeline will now only take place during January. Please remember that there will be teething problems as previously stated.
Ilembe has reminded us that if you wish to drill for a borehole permission has to be granted by the Department of Water and Sanitation in Durban.
There has been a problem with the collection of garden refuse as the truck broke down but this morning I saw a truck back and forth removing garden refuse. The bulk has been removed and they will continue next week.
Verges are in the process of being cut by the new contractor. We hope that soon the village will be back to being as neat as it used to be. Or else they will be seeing this face again!
Wendy ( Conservancy) organized a meeting this morning with me and the KDM Waste Management team to again discuss the proposal of recycling of plastic, cardboard, paper, bottles, tins etc.
Vusi (Superwaste in Darnall) was also present at the meeting and the Waste Management team will be liaising with him to try and get this worthy project up and running as soon as possible.
I have asked KDM to as usual, place two skips in the village to enable you to get rid of anything that you might not want (paleeeeeeeeeeeeeese DO NOT put household refuse or garden refuse in this skip!! ) It is mainly for old broken plastic chairs, broken shelves, broken plant pots, old tumble
driers etc. This is for anything that KDM would not normally pick up.
Please don’t put old computers, printers laptops etc into these skips as these would need to be given to WeCare.
As a matter of interest KDM hire out skips. Contact me for further details.
Wooden walkways in the servitudes are in the process of being repaired. Please notify me of any walkways needing repair.
I have also requested that the brush on the sides and top of the servitudes be trimmed.
Thankfully some potholes have been repaired and the team have assured me that they haven’t forgotten about the balance of the holes.
Zbrra negotiated with Civils to construct a safe walkway for pedestrians along Seagull. This will enable those beachgoers, with children etc in tow who have to park outside the beach entrance, to access the beach without having to negotiate cars etc.
Please be patient as this is a project in progress.
Sadly we STILL await Eskoms response to the repeated emails re street lights!!
Potholes have been repaired but again sadly, I have been told by Province that there will be an 18 month to two years waiting period before any re surfacing can be done on this road! SORRY!
I have tried everything possible to get this period reduced to no avail!
DOGS ON THE LOOSE AGAIN!!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm…………….. Ok so this is the story if you have a complaint regards dogs on the loose! Protection Services can be called and THEN you will be in BIG trouble if it is YOUR dog on the loose!!
Please guys! A young dog, on a leash, that was being walked by her owners, was savaged by two dogs that were out of their property. This is NOT on! Can we all just work together and make sure our dogs are walked attached to leashes?
So enough of all that moaning and groaning!
Don’t forget to pop into Chaz Everitt office to drop some pet food etc to donate to that worthy cause “A Cause for Paws”.
Cliff has again organized some events for those OCD people who need to be kept busy!
See the notice board in Seagull as well as at the Zinkwazi Café and on ZBRRA notice board.
Beach Parking Discs:
Don’t forget to collect your beach parking discs or you will be parting with R10 each time you go through to the main beach.
Information in the process of being captured. Thank you for your returns.
For those members who are in the process of packing to come down for your holiday in Zinkwazi, please drive safely and remember to pop into the office to say hi.
For your info – I will be on leave from 23 December till 10 January so if you pop in to see me during that time, SORRY FOR YOU! I will be away re cuping from all the nonsense you and the Municipalities give me!!!
You never pop in during this time anyway, you are too busy partying to say hi to me!!
Anyway…………enough fooling about and wasting your time, keep well, drive safe, avoid all the lunatics on the road and please arrive alive , and……….
I have learned……… That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you are climbing it!
